Stress

At times, life can be stressful, and sometimes life events can pile up.  Life crises, mid-life issues, family problems, workplace issues, financial or relationship stress can become intense and overwhelming.  You may find yourself short-tempered, sleeping too much or too little (insomnia), over-using alcohol, eating too much or too little, or generally feeling overwhelmed.  Ongoing nervous tension can lead to health problems such as hypertension and can become chronic.  Caregivers are particularly susceptible to long-term chronic stress.

It was most helpful to have a listening ear to help me affirm what is important in my struggles and feedback regarding those struggles and suggestions for guidance that helped me set priorities for my life.

A Samaritan counselor can help you to identify the source(s) of your stress and develop coping skills to manage life in a healthy way.  We welcome Employee Assistance Program referrals. Call today!
